I am John Trent. I have worked as a bookmaker and as a consultant to various bookmakers since about 1980. I have semi-retired and now only take on consultancy work occasionally. I specialise in both compliance and fraud detection and prevention.

Having been in the industry for so long I have certain specialised knowledge which I have used in consultancy roles at a number of leading bookmakers in the UK and in various overseas operations in a long list of countries including Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Dubai, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Nigeria, Switzerland and the USA.

During this period I undertook research for a Ph.D in the area of bookmaker credit and also had the opportunity to build a database of horse racing information which I believe is more comprehensive than that of the likes of the Racing Post and Sporting Life.

Using this database I have been able to derive unique statistical information about horse racing in the British Isles which is supplied to subscribers on a daily basis and which has content that is used by professionals to assist in their betting.

I have also written a book, Horse Racing - Betting To Win which explains many of the actual form details that successful punters can use and about which they are normally misled. The book also discusses professional betting and betting systems.

And following on from the book I have started a blog to list systems that people sell that just simply don't work. I expect to include other information about racing and form in it from time to time.
